He’s the person who selects all the working parts and product that Onyx & Amber uses in crafting is rare and individualized bourbon for the discerning drinker. He was never a stranger to whiskey, growing up with a great-grandfather who passed down this proclamation to his tribe: “Rosen men don’t drink gin; we drink whiskey.”
Initially Benjamin collected rare Japanese whiskey bottles. The inflection point was when he expanded his interest and hobby into a charity, The Colorado Bourbon and Rye Collectors. He’s garnered a social media following that’s bumping fast past 5 figures.
The fan base for Onxy & Amber is, according to Rosen, built on its Barrel Pick—the carefully chosen barrels are between 6 and 27 years old. And then there’s the high-altitude aging and the dry high plains impact—things only a Denver climate can provide.
